Iain Cooke is an award-winning freelance music supervisor for film & TV and has supervised over 20 feature films including Asif Kapadia’s Academy and BAFTA winning documentary AMY as well as Diego Maradona, Oasis:Supersonic, Collide, Funny Cow, Desert Dancer, Second Coming and many more.
Iain also supervised the TV adaptation of Hanna for Amazon (series 1 & 2); Gangs of London, a 10-part thriller written and directed by Gareth Evans for Sky Atlantic & HBOMax; Informer, a six part thriller for BBC/Amazon; and the four part animated adaptation of Watership Down for BBC/Netflix.
Iain’s other TV supervision credits include John le Carré’s multi-EMMY nominated The Night Manager, series 3 & 4 of Golden Globe & EMMY nominated Luther starring Idris Elba, BAFTA winning drama The Fades, dark thrillers Spotless for Canal+/Netflix and Hit & Miss for Sky Atlantic, Cucumber and Banana, the Russell T. Davies’ penned TV dramas exploring the passions and pitfalls of 21st century gay life, Wanderlust (BBC1 & Netflix); RELLIK (BBC1 / Cinemax), Doctor Foster; Harlan Coben’s The Five, Good Cop, Thirteen, Hugo Blick’s Black Earth Rising and many more.
Iain was named as TV Music Supervisor of the Year at both the 2014 & 2016 Music Week Sync Awards, won Best Music Supervision for a Documentary at the 2017 Guild of Music Supervisors awards and was nominated for an EMMY for Best Musical Direction for his work on Watership Down in 2019.
Nick Angel has a strong music pedigree and was director of A&R for Island Records from 1990-99 where he signed PJ Harvey, Elbow, Pulp, Talvin Singh, The Orb, Jah Wobble and many more.
In 1999, he joined Working Title as Head of Music, supervising amongst others, Billy Elliot, Atonement, all of the Bridget Jones’s Diary’s, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. Other outside projects included The Take, Attack the Block, Shaun The Sheep and The Pirates In the time of Misfits!
Recent supervision projects include Paddington 2, Yardie, Bridget Jones Baby, and Bloodlight and Bami; Grace Jones Documentary, The Kid Who Would Be King, Days of the Bagnold Summer as well as series 1 & 2 of Brassic. Nick’s current supervision work includes the animated film of Riverdance as well as the new animation movie The House for Nexus/ Netflix. Nick exective produced Yesterday and will also be an executive producer on the up and coming feature The Score.
Lily Metcalfe is our Music Coordinator, she has experience working both in the US and UK on various productions including Orange is The New Black (Netflix), Transparent (Amazon) and GLOW (Netflix). She handles the day to day admin for the company as well as managing the song clearance process across all of our productions and assisting Nick and Iain on various areas of their work.
Pru Miller has extensive experience in music licensing with over thirty years’ industry practise. Pru started out as assistant to lawyer/manager James Wyllie, a director of Beggars Banquet Group and consultant to Russells Solicitors. A three-year stint as personal assistant to musician / producer Dave Stewart followed before she moved into music supervision working with Larger Than Life, one of the first commercial sync agencies in London. She then went on to form part of the award-winning Universal Music Publishing sync team pitching UK catalogue to TV & clearing and negotiating film & game terms for worldwide catalogue. Now a freelance music consultant working in film and TV, recent projects include feature film Our Ladies and TV dramas Brassic & Gangs of London.
